Rebranding and Signage Project

Full Signage Rebrand for Contractors

Case Study

In the Spring of 2021, we were contacted by representatives of PURCOR to help with a full rebrand of their signage and fleet graphics. PURCOR is a national Pest Control Company that had purchased five different pest control companies here in the PNW. We were selected to help them navigate the rebrand of over 100 vehicles and building signage in three different markets: Seattle, Portland, and Boise.

From the start, we met with their Market President and their VP of Marketing. We discussed the various challenges that would be presented with multiple vehicles in multiples areas. One particular challenge was that all drivers take their vehicles home after their scheduled stops for the day. This made for a logistical hurdle. In order to complete the changeover of graphics in a quick manner, we developed a schedule to first begin removal. Over a month-long period, we scheduled roughly three vehicles a day to remove graphics, clean, and prep so the vehicles were ready for new graphics. We worked with staff to get VIN’s of every single vehicle in the fleet across all markets and began knocking them off one-by-one.

After all graphics had been removed, we then began scheduling the re-installation of the new PURCOR brand.

We started by first doing mockups. PURCOR had requested a clean, fresh look that achieved a bold statement, but wasn’t cluttered while being easy to read. Something that could translate quickly across an array of vehicle makes/models. After a few rounds of changes, some test prints and mockups on a test vehicle, PURCOR had landed on the winning look they were after.

First, we installed for their Seattle market. Prior to the install of the vehicles, we also rebranded the entire facility signage with new Aluminum signage throughout each building and dimensional lettering on the buildings. The headquarters was having a big BBQ day and an all staff celebration. We used that event to knock out over 20 vehicles in about a 4-hour span. Portland was next and the same celebration was done there. We used the same time to head down to Portland and make the vehicle graphic change over. While there, we also completed a rebrand of the facility building signage. Last was the Boise market. We flew out there with new graphic kits and facilitated a changeover of about 13 vehicles.

Nearly 60% of the fleet was done in three quick sessions. Over the next month, we worked with PURCOR to setup times when the staff who couldn’t be at the events to get their vehicles done, could drop by our location for installation.

We’re grateful PURCOR selected SignDog to handle a large yet seamless rebrand over their entire PNW fleet. As 2022 begins, we have continued to work with them on other vehicles that are being designed for full wraps and unique billboard style wraps for their larger vehicles and trailers.

To summarize, SignDog was contracted to create new layouts for a fleet of over 100 vehicles and numerous makes/models. Removal of all current graphics from the former companies PURCOR had purchased, and re-installation of new graphic packages on all vehicles in a smooth and efficient manner.
